Meet Alyssa Myers
Alyssa is honored to help to her clients during difficult and emotional times. Alyssa understands that all families are different and, therefore, each client needs a legal plan tailored to their specific needs.
She focuses on estate planning, divorce, and probate. Alyssa assists clients with prenuptial agreements, wills, trusts, divorces, and estate administration. She was named a Super Lawyers: Rising Star from 2021 to 2026. Alyssa earned her Masters and Juris Doctor degrees from Georgia State University. She interned with the Hon. Jane Barwick during law school and started her career as a prosecutor before pivoting to family law in 2018.
She handled contentious, high-asset divorces at a boutique firm until 2024. Whether divorce or probate cases, Alyssa believes in resolving family issues outside of court when possible, in order to protect familial and co-parenting relationships. She focuses on helping clients settle matters efficiently and economically.
Alyssa is a member of the Georgia and New York State Bars, the Amicable Divorce Network, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
Uncontested Divorce or Amicable Divorce?
While an uncontested divorce requires the parties to agree on all settlement terms, the Amicable Divorce is an established legal process through the Amicable Divorce Network that requires the practitioners to adhere to specific guidelines. The name is a bit misleading since there is no requirement for the parties to be amicable to utilize the process. The parties only need to agree that they want to use this child-centered approach to achieve an efficient resolution.
